Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills, California in 1956. She was the home of her mother and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick always enjoyed singing, dancing and creating performances with puppets. In the year she turned 6years old, she won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether she was keen to work in show business. McCormick found her first role as a leading actress in 1964. McCormick was in a commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for The Wind It up and It's Broken in The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had a blended-family. The show ran for five seasons and the show proved to be a huge great success. McCormick disclosed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year period on the program. She was just 16 when she was in the scene; he was 19. The incident could have occurred, she told me, but the timing wasn't the right time for us.
